    Gsg 1911 barrel fixing pin

So I took my gsg out shooting the other day and came back to find the pin is no longer there. I've been looking around and can't find a replacement anywhere. Or for what its for.
D.does anyone know where to find a replacement and if its even really needed? I'm assuming not safe to shoot till pin is in. Any feedback would be great.

It's used to align the barrel. Without it it wiggles all over the place I think causing spotty accuracy?

Just get an upgraded barrel bushing and you won't need it. Bushing is 20 bucks or so

If you're looking for a direct replacement, I'd contact ATI and see if they can ship you one for free/you can buy one.

If You are talking about the barrel SCREW, you can upgrade with aftermarket parts to never have to mess with the screw again:

I would not operate your firearm without doing one of the above.

ATI sent me a washer no charge for my GSG 1911. Outstanding customer service.

Just a guess but it sounds like you might have installed the pin from the right side (ejection port side) rather than the left. The pin has a rim on one end. When inserted from the left side, the slide lock/release lever covers it and prevents it from coming out of the left side. The rim keeps it from falling out of the right side. If it's inserted from the right side, there's nothing but friction to keep it in place.

As bluzman said, the only way it could fall out is if it was inserted from the wrong side. Call ATI. I've received excellent customer service from them. cwaccessories is an excellent resource. Installed their stainless steel guide rod after my plastic one broke.

That's exactly what I did. I bought it used not knowing really anything about it. Took it apart to clean seeing how it was really gunked up and put it back together the same way. But yea. I installed that piece backwards.
I called ATI And they are sending me a replacement for free. Didn't even care if it was bought used or new. Awesome costumer service.

                Thanks everyone for the help.

I didn't even fire mine until I installed the stainless CW parts. The guide rod just looked too flimsy from the "git go".

For a 22 though it works just fine.

Ill second the CWA parts recommendation, mine is much smoother and more accurate with their guide rod, Deleon spring bushing, and tighter barrel bushing. I really like their dual rate spring too.

Did anyone look at the Tandemcross accurizing kit with tapered barrel cap and polished bushing?
It also comes with a SS recoil assembly.

ATI replaced a broken firing pin in a week.

You need a threaded barrel to install the tapered alignment cap. That makes it a no go in California. ZRtactical has their version of the upgrade. For California, you can send them your barrel and they will weld their slide alignment cone to the barrel. https://www.zrtacticalsolutions.com/...ornia-package/

I was all hard on to hot rod my GSg when I first got it. I kept putting it of..my next project. It has never missed or a range trip or a round. I have literally thousands of rounds through my mine, stock, no complaints.
