My Regal Black Label has a pretty heavy trigger pull as well but I'm still breaking it in. Don't know what the pull is but I'd guess around 7lbs.
I didn't buy it to be a tack driver target pistol and I'll assume nobody does.
That said, a very light pistol with a short barrel and heavy trigger = terrible accuracy for the average shooter.
I've owned a couple Dan Wessons for a little bit now and the triggers are far, far better. I've never had a need to improve on the triggers but I can't imagine it's to difficult for a pistolsmith. There are plenty out there, give 'em a call.

I actually don't have an issue with the pull. I just want the pull travel I guess you call it a little more. Mine breaks almost instantly.

Mine worked nicely out of the box. Then I polished all the all the parts on trigger assemblies, and play around with sear spring, it worked nicer.
