Buckmark barrel balance

I'm considering getting a buckmark standard with the slab sides. What makes it different from the camper (besides the frame)? The camper apparently has a bull barrel, does this affect the balance of the gun and make it front heavy? This is the reason I was considering the slab side over that model. Is the fit and finish on the standard much better than the camper?

Fit and finish between the models will be the same.

I have the Stainless Camper and while the balance is not bad, it was a bit front heavy. If the slab side barrel is the same length as the Camper barrel, it'll probably be a little lighter but not by much, since the Camper barrel is tapered towards the muzzle. Either way the barrel should be nice and accurate. If a child is shooting the pistol the Camper will feel front heavy, but for an adult you don't really feel it.

I changed mine to a longer Tactical Solutions barrel with an aluminum comp attached, and now the balance is neutral. Those factory barrels are no joke a hunk of metal...

On my Camper the barrel was replaced with a Target barrel, very heavy, very accurate and much less recoil.
The beauty of the buckmark is the infinite combination of set ups, and a big bonus is, it will eat most ammo on the market, SV and up.

Which model do you all think would be better stock, for plinking?

I got mine with the expectation of changing almost every part of it, so I got the cheapest model available to us Californians, but in Stainless... Stainless version is a bit troublesome because it uses a stainless set screw to lock in the stainless barrel, which is a major PIA to remove. Mine ended up having to be drilled to remove the screw in order to remove the barrel. The Carbon barrel version seems to be better in this regard. For some reason I think they use metric set screw in there, because my hex wrench just spins after reaching a certain torque.
