Purchasing a CMR30 | Have a muzzle device question..

Hello Calguns,

Thanks for being the best! So I'm buying a CMR30 from South Carolina and sent them a vg6 for pinning the muzzle break to meet the 26" OAL requirement. Unfortunately, it only measures to 24". I know a 556 muzzle break will have no effect on a .22WMR, im really just tying to meet length requirements here and I really dont want to pin the stock, so I am thinking maybe I'll just grab a faux supressor. The threads however are 1/2 x 28 - EG mostly 556 cartridge. Would it be dangerous to fire a .22WMR Cartridge out of a 1/2x28 556 faux supressor? My suspicions say yes. Can anyone offer advice on this configuration or recommend a good faux suppressor or standard muzzle break for the .22WMR 1/2x28? I need to add about 4.25 inches, if a 556 faux supressor works, i can find one pretty easily I guess.

As an alternative, if the length of pull is short enough you could add a rubber spacer with a standoff to the rear of the stock in combination with a short muzzle device. Since it's a rimfire I don't believe it needs to be permanently attached to reach the overall length.
