    Savage mark 2

Finally decided to clean my savage mark II.
I obviously wasn't paying attention and used a beat up 30 can brass brush. I ran it only twice. Going in and pulling it out.
Any potential damage to inside bore?
I probably need a bore scope and see if there is any.

    Thanks

Much ado about nothing, IMHO. Run a couple of patches until they come out clean, then shoot it. Chances are it's fine - the steel shouldn't give up much to the brass brush.

Must have been "really worn" if it looked like a 22 cal....

It was beat up. But comparing it to a 22cal brass brush, there was an obvious difference in size. My dumb *** wasn't paying attention.
And I was worried there might of been some potential damage.

they say brass brush are softer than steel . I think it's good to go . when I clean 40cal , I always use 45 brass , and I don't see any scratches in the barrel .as long as ur not using steel . I think it's okay

Brass is softer so I assume I'm good to go.
