New Ruger 10/22 Takedown model found its way to my wallet this weekend...

    Hey guys,
I didn't know this new model was released, but thanks to a decent sale price at Sportsmans Warehouse I couldn't walk away from it. Model #21181 with "Mica Bronze Synthetic" Stock. But along with the stock that stands out a little from plain black, it comes with a shorter 16.4" threaded barrel. Pretty nice, and a pleasant option in the sea of 18.5" rimfires....

The sale price for this gun was $259, which I found to be very fair for a takedown model in a retail store.

If anyone was looking for a takedown 10/22, might be worth a look. If the bronze plastic stock isnt your cup of tea, we all know there is a huge aftermarket for these takedown 10/22's.

Here's a google shot from another website that gives a better view of the stock, its a brown/tan stock with specks of a darker brown in it.

Anyways, I hope if nothing else I showed some of you a stock option that Ruger is now carrying this new Mica Bronze Synthetic stock in some of their rifles.

Nice options on that takedown. I have been wanting to get one with a shorter barrel. Too bad the threaded barrel won't get a suppressor. Sounds like you got it for a good price too.

Thanks, I prefer it over the generic Black stock, but a laminate stock would be nicer. It will have a little bit of a unique feel for a while, which is hard to do with a 10/22 lol...

As for the threaded barrel, its not a feature (in California) I would have paid extra for, but its pretty nice to have threads on a short 10/22 rifle barrel (although Model: 11112 has the same barrel, this new model has the lowest MSRP for a takedown with the short threaded barrel)

As for price, I have been tempted on some online buys in the $250 range in the past, but with shipping and the $50+ fees to import a gun to a local FFL, I couldn't ever justify the cost.

I had a gift card for Sportsmans burning a hole in my wallet, when I saw this sale it was an easy decision.
