it sound PSSST then the rimshell explode.

I was in a nice afternoon plinking and then it sound PSSST, lot of the smoke came out from the eject door. And then .....

After pried out the shell, and made sure that the bullet did not stick inside the barrel, back to plinking liked nothing happened.

Did the sound come after you pulled the trigger, or after the bolt cycled and before you pulled the trigger?

I'm confused. I've never, ever seen this.
Where did all that extra brass come from? The previous round?

First time I've seen it also.
The previous round cycle OK, I think the extra brass is the "rim". I loaded the magazine by myself saw not thing abnormal from the ammo.

                Here's how mine looked:

Didn't find the lost brass, since the casing, and I assume the pieces, actually ejected.

I did the same as you; made sure the bore was clear and all of my fingers were intact, and resumed shooting.

Exactly what happened to me using Golden Bullets in a Chiappa M4-22 upper.

The ammo was Remington Thunderbolt. I shot more than 5K Rem. Thunderbolt before, it never happened. This is on the next batch of 5K Thunderbolt.

Remington the only ammo that has given my 22 handguns any issues. Good thing that Ruger Mark is tough as nails. I wonder how other auto loaders would have handled it.

If you peruse Rim Fire Central, there are many stories of unfortunate experiences with Remington rimfire ammunition. 10/22's usually blow the magazine and extractor out of them, and often pepper the shooter with burning powder and brass shrapnel. They are always some form of Out Of Battery discharge. I wonder what the deal is, is it overly sensitive priming compound, sticky lube, too big case bases? Does Remington even care? I wonder...

Doubtful - since 2007 when Cerberus Group bought Remington (and Marlin), Shareholder Profit seems to be far more important than Quality products...
