    Savage 1904

My grandfather, whom I never met because he died in explosion when my dad was a baby, hunted jackrabbits in Colorado a century ago with this single shot bolt action .22 "boys rifle" and I eventually inherited it. Shot it a lot as a 10 year old but hadn't fired it in 60 years until today. Took it to the range and shot about 20 rounds. Still worked and was remarkably accurate.

That is one rifle to hang onto. Had a friend with a single-shot Winchester. It shot well. Good to hang onto them if you can.
