    Marlin 795 extractor replacement

The right extractor in my 795 broke off the tail of the piece so now it doesn't extract correctly. I have ordered a replacement extractor, spring, and pin from Midway. Anything I need to be aware of before I start the work? It looks like it is straight forward: drive out the tiny retaining pin, remove old parts, install new parts, replace pin. Is it that easy?

    Any advice is welcome.

    Thanks

Yep, it's that easy. Smart of you to replace the spring while you're doing it. Drive the pin out from the top. A slave pin makes installation a little easier. Check that the ends of the pin are flush with the bolt surfaces after installation.
