GSG 1911 or P-22 Target ?

I am just done the 30 days probation and itching for a new .22RL pistol, these two are on Roster and available on LGS.
- ATI GSG 1911 22LR
- Walter , P-22 Target, 5" barrel (not a short 3.5" barrel)
I used it for plinking on indoor range , punching target papers. I will shoot it with mostly bulk HV because the bulk HV is easier to find than SV.
Before it becomes a safe queen, I will shoot the heck out of it so i want a good one. So which one ?
(If you want to recommend me another the 22 pistol, I am very gladly well come to but it must be on Roster and not of the following: Buckmark, S&W 22A1 & M41, Hi Standard and all Olympic pistols).

Edit: After look at the attached pictures from member AlphaRomeo, I decide to go with the GSG.

I am enjoying my GSG 1911-22. Good shooter at the price point and easy to maintain.
Buy extra mags.

I have a GSG/ATI 1911 and it's fun. It took some garage gunsmithing, polishing, and a Nic Taylor extended guide rod. Without the work, it wouldn't run smooth with bulk ammo, after the work, it runs great for ~800 rounds before it needs cleaning; when it's dirty it fails to feed.

The guide rod adds a tiny amount of rearward slide movement and allows for more reliable ejection.

Magazines are hard to find for a good price.

I'm worried that the screw holding the barrel to the frame will ultimately strip or the threads on the frame will wear out. Do not replace this screw with steel, as the frame is softer than steel and that would be bad.

Personally, I would not buy either, but the Walther is a better choice than a GSG.

I had both and my vote goes to P22 hands down! The slide on the gsg cracked after around 300 rounds.

Love.my GSG 1911-22. Not target accurate but a lot of fun. More than 23k rounds and counting. There is one uses on the Internet over 75k. No slide failure. The paint wears off easily but I don't mind. I would replace guide rod with stainless steel. Lifetime warranty.

I have a P22 and a GSG 922CA. I cannot understand anyone choosing the P22 over the GSG. The P22 has a much cheaper feel, and the trigger is much better on the GSG. The GSG is one of the most fun .22 pistols, and the Walther is the worst. Both are cheap compared to my MarkII Target or a Buckmark.

I have both too. But I happen to like both. I have a blast shooting either. To me, the 1911 seems cheaper. But that's probably just because I shoot real 1911's and the difference is noticeable.

The P22 is tiny and ultralight, which I think is cool. If I take a kid or small adult shooting, I always bring it along and it's a big hit. It's also a great backpacking plinking pistol because it's so tiny and lightweight.

The finish rubs off the GSG-1911 pretty fast if you use a holster.

Both are sort of a pain to disassemble and clean.

Both of mine have been completely reliable using bulk ammo.

That's the value of keeping the P22 to me. First time shooters and kids get to shoot the P22. Good size and trigger for that.

I have so many .22's the P22 doesn't get much play. I think it is nice that it is still on-roster. Not a lot of other rimfire double-action autos.
