    New Buckmark

Friday night I got my Buckmark Practical URX out of jail and promptly brought it home, striped the sights and mounted a rail and TRS-25 red dot. I laser sighted it in at 15' down my hall and took it out to shoot today. J***s C****t what a shooter right out of the box. I started it out with three mags of 40gr Mini-Mags at 100 yards and it easily could hit a 10" plate. I then switched to 36gr Golden Bullets and had the same results. When the rifle guys were done, I moved down to 25 yards and that's when the real fun started. 3" steel, clays, swinging rubber target thingies, no problem. Also, not one FT anything. Can't wait to get it to the indoor range for sure.

I have the same setup, except stainless version.
This gun with the TRS-25 is a tack driver and eats any ammo I put through it.
I also have a Ruger MKII Target, its a toss up on which I like better.

It feels fine. It does come up high and I have to bring the muzzle up to catch the dot, but that will work itself out once I get used to the red dot being so high.

I have a basic Buckmark from the early 2000's. It's insanely accurate for what it is.

So when I removed the front sight it left a patch of dried adhesive behind. Will that disappear if I keep after it with Hoppes? I don't want to do anything drastic to remove it.

Just throw the front sight back on, you wont see it through the red dot anyways

The Buckmark is my favorite .22lr handgun. It's reliable and does everything you need it to. It's also extremely easy to customize with a ton of aftermarket support.

Congrats on a Great gun! I have the same red dot setup and couldn't be happier. A lot of fun with great level of accuracy.
