Ruger Recalls Mark IV

It's a hassle to return the pistol to Ruger but everything is free and you get a free magazine.

I saw this recall as well. Pretty much a recall on every MKIV. Pretty serious issue if a pistol fires under those circumstances.

Where did you see the free magazine part?

I just submitted my info for my Mk IV 22/45 Tactical.

When you submit your info for the recall you get a message that states they will be sending you a box with prepaid shipping and instructions.

It also states that when they send back the lower portion of the handgun, which is not the receiver, they will include a magazine as a thank you or ruger store credit for those who live in states that don't allow shipping of magazines.

It is in Step 3 under "If Your Pistol Is Affected".

I just called about my Ruger Mark IV Hunter just give your serial number and they will check. Like the other have said, they will send you a box with instructions to send back the part. It is only a two day process to replace the recalled part and the will ship it back with a free magazine.

I just my Mark IV Hunter 40160 and because it was so hard to get, I don't mind the inconvenience.

Fedex will ship it to them for repairs. I've done it a couple times in the last year.
