    New to me Buckmark

Got a Buckmark in trade from a fellow Calgunner
Buffer was toast so I made a new from a piece of fuel line that was the same thickness, work's great. I do have a couple of new buffers on order along with a new recoil spring/guide assembly.
Also will pick up a couple new mags as the slide is not locking back on last round, believe it to be the mag springs.
Just got back from the range, this thing is fun and accurate.
Ran about 150 rounds of various ammo with a couple FTF/FTE from the bulk
    Winchester 333 pack.
Ammo used: in order of accuracy.

    CCI Copper
    CCI Standard
    CCI Mini Mag HP
    CCI Blazer
    Fed Auto Match.
    Win. 333 Bulk
    Win. Tin

The CCI Copper is fast and Accuate

It does not seem right, my Buckmark run 300-500 rds for 1 FTF/FTE and it causing by ammo.
Clean you Buckmark and shoot again with 300-500 rds of bulk ammo and let see how many FTF/FTE you got.

Gun was spotless clean when range session was started.
Win. 333 was only one to FTF/FTE, in fact I tried the same round 4 times, all good strikes and it never fired. This also happens in my 10/22 sometimes, so it is the ammo.

I've given up on the Win. in my Buckmark and Mosquito ! Now using ONLY CCI Mini Mag 1235 fps and absolutely NO PROBLEMS. Had just A FEW FTF/FTE with the Aguila. Now the owner of 10,000 rounds of both CCI and Aguila.
I've given all the Win that I had to a friend that says his Buck has VERY FEW problems with it.

You mention buying new mags due to what you believe to be a mag spring problem , FWIW, they do sell just the mag springs and it's a lot cheaper than an entire mag.
I think midway or maybe Brownells was were I got my last mag springs.

Thanks, but I like extra mags anyway.
However that was not the issue, turns out the slide stop spring needed tweeking.
              Works fine now

Long time buckmark owner here. If you haven't already, closely inspect the slide lock/release lever and the slide notch where they contact when the slide locks back. There could be a wear pattern on the slide lock lever engagement surface that is causing your problem.

I like the Winchester M-22 - plated but reasonable $$$ in bulk pack and not greasy like Remington Golden Bullet... but it will shoot and cycle on most 22 LR (except CCI Quiet)

Wifey likes hers with Fiber optic sights

I love my Buckmark, shoots any .22LR I put in it.

Winchester white box makes the worst .22lr. I've been trying to shoot mine up but its frustrating when I have so many FTF due to bad primers. I know its not the gun because I can put the same round in other guns and it still wont fire.

I usually shoot Mini Mags or Remington Golden in my semi-autos and bulk stuff in revolvers, it works for me.
