    Lead Free .17 WSM ammo

I've read in multiple places now that Winchester has released a lead free ammo for the .17 wsm. It's called "Varmint LF" I believe. But I've not seen it available ANYWHERE on any website. Most don't list it. Found one with it listed as "not available right now". Anyone out there tried it, found it, or know where I can find some?

I would be interested also. BUT, a lot of these manufactures release products before they go into full production. I think they like teasing us. You CAN get CCI #0951 with a 16Ggr. lead free projectile. B.

I just got back from a squirrel shoot and used lead free 17hmr, 15 grn. This is by no means scientific, but the lead free doesn't seem to have the "pop" that the 17 grn Hornady V-Max does when squirrels are hit. The squirrels dropped just as fast though. Didn't shoot groups......too busy shooting squirrels!
