    AGUILA 22LR MATCH for $5/box @ BIG-5 until 3-24-17

I figured posting this here would be more useful than in the "deals" section

Big-5 has a coupon to get Aguila 22LR MATCH ammo for $5 for a box of 50. It is regularly $7/box. The box is White, Blue, and Gold and says Rifle MATCH Competition.

I know this is high for plinking ammo, but if you want to try some Match ammo this would be a good time to get some. You won't find it cheaper online.

Here is the coupon you will need. The Aguila is listed at the very bottom on the right-hand side.

No it is not sub sonic ammo
I just bought some, it is pistol match and rifle match . both are 40gr, that is why there are two different SKU#

Yes, Aguila Rifle Match is sub-sonic. Speed of sound is ~1125 ft/sec. Aguila is rated at 1080 ft/sec. As is CCI standard velocity (1070 f/s), SK standard plus (1050 f/s), RWS Target Rifle (1082 f/s) and Wolf Match Target (1050 f/s). None of these rounds have experienced any failures in my Marlins (mod. 60 and mod. 795). They have also proven to more accurate than any of their high velocity cousins in my weapons. High velocity rounds transition from high velocity to subsonic right around 50 yds. During this transition the bullets flight can destabilize, affecting accuracy.

I bought a brick a while back. Too many flyers for target scoring. I placed it in the "plinking" pile and not in the "target shooting" pile.
