Best bolt action 22 under 500$

I like the Ruger because it takes 10/22 mags but I think the CZ445 is probably a better rifle...

I have a larger American in 243 but it leaves a bit to be desired in the fit and finish department.

I like my Ruger American because it uses the same magazines as my 10/22s. The trigger is nice too.

However like the other say the CZ is something else to look at.

Just picked up a Marlin XT22TSR, (stainless version).
Seems like a nice rife cheap under $300. I'm not big in the plastic stock but it does make it light.
I may up grade to a thumb hole at a later date.

I want to use this rifle for target Competitions. So maybe something a little more upgraded then a standard bolt action 22. Tube or mag is fine with me

CZ455, drop into Manners stock when you're ready (or buy it with Manners already on there).

Another option is the LSS-22 chassis.

^^^^^this. I love Rugers in general. But the American line is their budget line and kind of feels like it. I chose the cz455 and am quite happy. Extremely accurate little rifle. Added a peep sight. But just bought the 17hmr barrel so will be adding some glass soon.

Besides my eyes aren't what they used to be.
