Savage 93 22wmr problems

Any having problems with light primer strikes. I bought this rifle several years ago and it just sat in my safe, started shooting it recently and started having problems with the light primer strikes, since it's been passed a year it's not covered any more by the companies warranty. Thanks for any imput

That's a very common problem with the 93. It seems there are two schools of thought: disassemble, clean and polish bolt and components; or, send it back to Savage. Some report the problem goes away with the clean and polish, others say no. Apparently there is an issue with the length of the firing pin on some. '
