    Winchester 52B

Just picked up a rifle I've wanted for a long time. 1947 vintage Winchester 52B.
Vaver sights (first ones I've seen in person). Took me a minute to realize that the inserts are for the front sight.

Sweet, wish I could afford one. Very nice condition. I do have a couple target type rifles, a Kimber 82G bought NIB, an H&R 12, also NIB, and an Aeron refurbed Brno #4. A 52 would be a nice addition.

Nice! but those Unertl scope mounts look very lonely.
Need a DOM on it? Hurry up with the range report!

Range report will take awhile. Just moved and am still dealing with that. Am looking forward to it. Wanted a nice 52 for some time.

Had to go a little out of my way for this one, glad I did.

I have a '57 #4 that is super accurate, how does yours shoot? How does it compare to the Kimber and the H&R?

In Post #2, what is the object in the third photo? I recognize the magazines, but the other object, I am not familiar with it.

My first smallbore rifle that I used was a Winchester Model 52D, it was a club rifle and was very accurate. I eventually bought a 52C, but did not like it near as much as the club's 52D, and unfortunately, I traded it for an Anschutz + cash.

It can hold it's own, shoots way better than I do. Mine is a '58.

It's a holder with threaded holes in it for the different apertures for the front sight. Never saw it before I bought this one. The one open hole is for the insert that is in the sight.
