Why ONLY shoot CCI? My 10/22 eats up EVERYTHING!
My biggest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them.

For me, it's about accuracy. My 10/22 eats anything too, but accurate shooting really enhances the plinking experience.

That rebate took the price back down to $7.60, thanks again.

As for other ammo: Sure I have shot a number of other brands through this gun, but I bought this for my wife to shoot and all of the other ammo would average one FT'something every mag and it was frustrating to her. The mini-mags operated at 100% and she can break clays at 100 yards with a red dot so I stuck with that.

As for "bare Lead": As I mentioned, it's a mental issue for me that goes back to grabbing my Dad's .44 mag and it took almost 3 hours to get the lead build up out of the barrel from "them" shooting cheap bare lead ammo. The cooper wash is just a crutch I know, but again the round works so I stick to it.

Barrel leading on any 22 lr rifle depends on how smooth the barrel was made---or if you polished it with a product (like "Lead Away" cloth)---I shoot tons of CCI Mini-Mags, but also lots of it's sister round, CCI Blazer (uncoated lead) thru my several 22 rifles with no leading issues.
The problems you experienced with 44 Mag leading are due to much higher 44 Mag pressures and too soft cheap-arse lead bullets---early 44 Mag lead factory ammo is notorious for this...

By uncoated, I'm guessing you mean without a copper or brass wash, since all 22LR rounds are lubed. CCI rounds use a hard wax lube.

            See page 10:

"Hard wax bullet lube is applied to all CCI rimfire loads..."

Back in stock today @ $7.00 per 100. I tried to order 10 and it only let me order 9, not sure if that means they're sold out.
