After alot of searching load 745 blue box 525 and load 750 325 red/maroon box are not the same....seems the blue box is much better ammo as alot have had problems with the red box.....

Some guys go as far as saying the red box is like a 2nd of a champion blue box load....

Also the red box is not even on federals website of premium ammo....

So, I'm going to stay away from the red box and stick with the champions and auto match

The blue box "champion" is my preferred 22l, auto match is second and blazer is third.

But champion has been impossible to get for a few years so all I shoot now is Auto match.

I feel like the two pictured are exactly the same round, 36gr CPHP.

There's a 40gr LRN. Is this the "blue box" being referred to?

Then there's a 40gr CPRN. 710, I think. Don't think those are called "Champion" though.

after more looking around the red/maroon box is different than the picture of the bulk 325's up top..

To get a true answer I'm gonna have to email federal

Question emailed to federal, will post the response when I get it

Reason I want to know is I have a chance to buy 3000 rds of the 325 bulk stuff up top and need to know if it will play nice with my marlin 795

Thank you adchrome for contacting Federal to confirm the specifics. I have not been able to find or buy the Load No. 750 for the last year and a half. The Load No. 745 and Load No. 775 seem to be the same comparing style, velocity and energy.

I was mainly interested in seeing if the Load No. 745 and Load No. 775 were the same rounds just packaged differently. So, per round expense, tax and shipping were really the only variables. I ended up buying Load No. 775 in the 325 packs from Cabelas.

I appreciate you asking Federal to make it clear. I have contacted Federal three times and never received a reply.

response was they hear this all the time too, but in fact its all the same round just different packaging for different quantities, so 775,750 and 745 are all the same bullet according to federal, just packaged different for different quantities, 745 525 rds, 750 550 rds, 775 325 rds...

Thanks adchrome. I did try the 325-rd pack and had no issues.

Yup. Likely just different batches might be + or - performance.

Plus you have people who blame ammo when something else is going on. They rarely have the patience to really troubleshoot and narrow down cause.

And finally you have confusion between these, the 40gr LRN (that's also named Champion) and the 40gr CPRN (710). The packaging and nomenclature looks similar on all of them.

People aren't generally reliable when it comes to this type of info, plus nobody's that concerned because the ammo is so cheap to begin with.

                          Good information though OP.

Yea, well my marlin 795 shoots the 745 stuff really good but I can't find it right now (unless you want to pay ridiculous prices) and I am getting low , so rather than buy a bunch of rounds that won't work in my rifle I searched online for answers....

Anyway guys cabelas has the 775 load 325 rd boxes for 19.95 a box plus add the code 27flat I believe it is for $5.00 shipping.....

I recently tried the 325 36gr value pack from Cabelas. In my guns it seems pretty much the same as Auto Match.

                              Meaning:
Zero issues in my DPMS .22 upper and about 1-2 light strikes per 10 rounds in a Sig P229 (that pistol runs 100% when shooting Mini Mag or Blazer).
