My Mom had one of the steel frame convertibles. Fit and finish were not on a par with a Ruger for sure. But function was flawless.

Very accurate and accounted for many Az Jacks in and around her yard, out to 40-50 yds.

Mom is gone, and my Grandson now enjoys it.

Maybe she was lucky and got a Wednesday Gun.

I think I paid something like $150 for mine a few years ago, and it came with the 22Mag cylinder as well. Is it a $500 Ruger? NOPE, but I never expected it to be. Goes bang every time, and I have fun shooting longs, shorts and 22LR through the same cylinder. I have the shorter (4.75" ? ) model and accuracy is what I expected out of a $150 revolver. Good fun, cheap smiles.

I put several dozen rounds through mine last week and had no failures. Maybe they worked themselves out. I still wish the sights were better.

I think Skyhawk nailed it.

My heritage will do the exact same thing with either 22lr or 22mag cylinders.

You need to pull the hammer back two clicks to unlock the cylinder for loading and unloading, if you accidentally pull the hammer a little too far and hit the third click it sets the cylinder lock and locks everything up until you remove the cylinder and let the hammer down, then pull it back two clicks.
