Buckmark Contour sight/top plate screws loosing ??

My Buckmark Contour after about 300 rds then the three sight/top plate screws (tort #10) are become loosed . These screws to tie the top/sight plate to the barrel and the frame.
Below the screw Browning placed a "bowl-shape lock washer" but the screws still loose after around 300rds.
1/. Is the same thing happen to your Aces's Contour ?
2/. How to fix the problem ?

    Best Regards.

Even better than Blue Loctite is Vibratite VC-3. It's a bit like, "glorified nail polish". It holds well, but it's removable and reusable. Perfect for what you need it for.

If common sense was so common, why don't liberals possess any?

I used Loctite Blue but still had problems. I've been using Loctite purple with much better results.

It is a common issue on Buckmarks, sadly.
At least the fix is easy.
Clean the threads thoroughly before applying the loctite or similar products.
Do not use the high strength versions.

Is Loctite the right product for this issue? I mean, you have to remove these screws to open to clean the gun.

Blue loctite is required SOP on these screws. Blue is not permanent , so can screws can be removed.

I saw three more Calguners had the same problem , does Browning know about this ? Any recall on Contour ?
Loctite is the only solution now, but I don't think that is the RIGHT solution.

BTW, I changed 3 NEW screws and 3 NEW lock-washers the problem still existed. :-(

Teflon plumbers tape around screws also works.

Known problem with Buckmarks , all simple fixes have now been suggested .

My owners instructions from 10+ years ago say to clean threads, apply medium strength thread locking compound and hand tighten screws. My buckmark has the same issue when I forget thread locker. Small price to pay for a very accurate 22 pistol.

I'm glad I found this thread. I just put a down payment on a buckmark contour. Should I back out? They are currently on sale at Turners for $399 ($120 Off). I've been a Ruger owner for a while and this will be my first buckmark.

Never had that problem with mine. Way more than 300 rounds downrange.

But now I'm gonna go pull it out and make sure everything is good and tight.

No. The Browning Buckmark is a good solid weapon. Screws can come loose on any machine. It's a fact of life. Nothing a drop of nail polish or Vibratite can't fix. Enjoy your new Buckmark.
