10/22 Tactical Solution Takedown Kit accuracy question

Does anyone have any accuracy issues with this? I've read that if you rest the rifle on the forearm.. it will throw the POI off.

Is this true?

Mine is coming in a week, but i want to know what to expect.

My standard TD shoots about 3-4" high over 50yds shooting from a sand bag compared to from my shoulder. Not sure if this is normal due to my inexperience but it is rather annoying.

Yeah I read some of that at rimfirecentral. Basically it was a claim that the hogue rubber stock did not afford enough rigidity. But these reports were for one piece rifles not takedowns.
If you happen to experience this, some folks filled the internal cavities with epoxy or you could reinforce some areas w aluminum.
Again, I never read about TDs having this issue.

My std barrel TD w scope shoots respectably at 100 yds bench rest. I just ordered a hogue thumbhole stock. I have not read about such problems with the TD.

So is your question w reference to iron sight bench rest shooting?

i have a tacsol bull barrel hogue setup for my take down. the forearm does seem to have some play and i've wondered if that affects it. i'm running a cheap bipod on it but haven't had any accuracy issues out to 25 yards. even with a somewhat fast pace shooting i'm getting groups that touch at 25 yards. i'll see if i have any pictures somewhere but i don't think i do. i didn't have any accuracy issues with the standard barrel but hated the original plastic stock and just wanted the look of the bull barrel. i like the fit and feel of the tacsol kit minus the slight loose play on the forearm and am happy with the groups i get out of it.
