    LCR .22LR ANYONE HAVE ONE?

    Short story short, I bought a used LCR .22LR with a hi-viz.
Thing weighs nothing and is put together well. Trigger pull is smooth but a hair on the long side.
    1)What do you feed it?
    2) Is yours reliable?
    3) How does the dirty dirty .22 ammo do? Build up?
4)How many shots does yours have through it?

I watched plenty of videos on this little guy. Seems like a nice plinker, mini 8 shot ultralight.

    5)What says you CGN?

      Wife has one.
Trying to burn through what's left of the case of Thunderbolt that I bought in '09.

It's been rock solid, a few FTF, but I blame that on the Thunders&*t ammo, not the gun.

We've only had it to the range a couple of times, so it's not gotten very dirty.

Had one. Bought it when they first hit the roster. It is a good quality gun, but ultimately, I didn't like it and sold it. The sights were the typical snubby type-notched rear with a small black ramp up front - useless for doing any target plinking. The trigger was too long and a bit too stiff to be an accurate plinker of any sort. My LCR-22 always shot either low or high (don't remember now).
The LCR, like any snubby, really is best at being a "belly gun". I don't need a 22lr for that. I will say that if Ruger ever produces an LCR-X in 22lr with the DA/SA action, 3" barrel, and adjustable sights, I'll buy one! In the meantime, I traded another gun for a Smith 317 with.....all those same features! And the Smith is even lighter than the LCR, to boot.

I bought one as an understudy to my LCR 38 and to pack in my 10/22 Takedown case. Tiny sights, heavy trigger pull, but I knew that going into it. Fun little plinker and after 50 rounds with it, the trigger on my LCR 38 feels amazing

I started with the LCR .357 and was simply amazed with the trigger. I found it amazing when compared with other revolver triggers. I then purchased the LCR in 22 magnum for my wife and where the trigger is good, it's not as nice as ithe .357. I have no issue with any ammo.

Often times the .22 trigger is more harsh due to the tendency to use stronger springs that might normally be needed due to the general inconsistent quality of .22lr ammo.

I probably get 5% fail to fire out of my Remington Thunderbolt from either the LCR or Heritage.

i happily find that a ruger lcr 22lr is reliable and accurate as a softshooting, handy, lightweight carry (non calif) piece. yellow jackets in rapid fire that make 3" groups at 15" through a 3" phone book should give one a chance to get away from trouble.

Mine was really accurate @ 15" as well. It is a belly gun, after all. At 7-10 yards, not so much.
