    Confused on what is allowed

I understand that some restrictions are not applicable to rimfire rifles but they aren't consistent with what I've looked at.

They must have 10 round mags but don't need a bullet button correct?

They are allowed an adjustable stock but what about a folding stock? Like the ARX-160?

And are they allowed a thumbhole grip like the EEA Appeal?

One more thing, the overall length has to be 30 or 26?

They must have 10 round mags - YES

but don't need a bullet button correct? CORRECT

They are allowed an adjustable stock but what about a folding stock? Like the ARX-160? [B]A-OK as long as they are 26" or longer in folded configuration including any length a screw on muzzle device adds (if it has a screw on muzzle device). In other words the muzzle device does not have to be welded on for it to count in the overall length.

And are they allowed a thumbhole grip like the EEA Appeal? YES

One more thing, the overall length has to be 30 or 26?[/QUOTE] 26

CA assault weapons laws for rifles does not effect rimfire rifles.

For rimfire rifles, the only restrictions are:
      1. Minimum barrel length of 16".
      2. Minimum overall length of 26". (measured with the rifle in the shortest possible firing configuration ~ stock folded/collapsed)

CA assault weapons laws for handguns effects rimfire handguns.

CA large capacity magazine laws effect magazines for rimfire firearms.
^Excemptions for fixed tubular magazines on .22 caliber firearms and for fixed tubular magazines on lever-action firearms.

I think this thread needs to be stickied as I feel these questions will be asked daily as the new firearm laws coming have people 😳

The CA DOJ can't even figure it out. No surprise a common layperson has issues.

Yes, or you must install an ArMagLock or equivalent solution to only allow release of the 10 round mag if the action is split with the rear takedown pin.

                    If it's a rifle, no.
