Want input on 22 toy

Thinking of getting a new 22lr. Eyes are on the hk mp5 gsg and the issc mk22 styles.i have the ruger 10/22 with the g36 kit but want others. Question is where do I find these locally(in sac or Bay Area) to hold and compare?or am I out of luck locally? Also anyone have other suggestions or has owned them with any pros/cons? I really like the 22 platform much more than the centerfire guns. Thanks for the reply.
