    Ruger MK 22 pistols

Does/did Ruger make this model with the 4-3/4" tapered barrel and adjustable
    sights?

The fixed sight Ruger Pistol and Ruger Standard Automatic Pistol could be had with the 4 3/4" tapered barrel. The adjustable sight MKI and MKII Target Automatic Pistols could be had with tapered barrels in 6 7/8 or 5 1/4. The only 4 3/4 adj sight is a MKIII but it's a bull barrel. I'm pretty sure the dovetail is the same on standard and target pistols so the sight would be interchangable.

Originally by design the "standards" had tapered barrels with fixed sights and the MK had the bull barrels and adjustable sights. Like others have said the originally MK had heavy taper barrels before the bull barrels came out. The shorter MK heavy tapers are more rare then their 678 brothers. Then the MKII came along and bloodied the naming difference...

There is probably an aftermarket adj. rear sight for the standards but you would have to find one that will fit the front blade height...

I don't think they did, but you can put adj. sights on yourself.
I had a std model with 4-3/4" tapered barrel "Blued" back around 1980.
This was before stainless models were available.
I had it hard chromed and installed adj. sights and walnut grips on it.
When stainless models came out later on, I traded it in on a stainless one.
It was a very nice and unique pistol, wish I would have kept it.

Ruger made number of uncatalogued and distributor specific guns, so it is possible that Ruger made such a model.
