    10/22 Scope

I was looking for recommendations for a good scope for my 10/22 take down.
I would like for the scope to be able to fit in the Ruger take down bag.
    Thanks

It might be helpful to know how much room you have available in the bag.

a small red dot will fit. if you want magnification, maybe a fixed power 4x or
3-9 variable. the latter will be bigger.

Its the Ruger factory bag that comes with the take down. There really is not a lot of space

Don't know if it will fit in take down bag, but it's a smaller scope. I have two of them one for an inline BP rifle and the other for a Marlin 22 bolt action.

My old 10/22s have an old Weaver K4 scopes and my new camo 10/22 has a camo TC 3-9 scope.

I purchased the 'Leapers Inc. UTG BugBuster Scope 3-9x32mm'. It fits in the bag while attached to the stock.

I also purchased the 'UTG Tactical Low Profile Rail Mount for Ruger 10/22' to attach it to. The total for both was < 100$ and it works great.

I really like my weaver v3 1-3x. Kind of depends what the purpose is, but it's a good balance for most 22 work. The only time I go higher power is for my ground squirrel guns, even then I usually don't go higher than 8x magnification.

Would be helpful to know budget. There is good, but there are different levels of good and they all come at a price.

I have (2) 10-22s that I shoot between 25-100 yards, both configured with Nikon scopes. Best glass for the money IMHO. I also spec them with the variable objective lens (parallax) focus like the EFR below so I can actually "see" the target at less than 50 yards.

                    Nikon EFR

Although the Nikon website says they are backordered, they are both readily available through Amazon.com for less than MSRP.

I just bought this exact scope, can't wait to try it out.
I've also had ok luck with the cheapo simmons 22mag scope for $35, its not as clear as my nikon's but for the money its hard to beat.

I am partial to March scopes. Take a look.

So many choice's . Cost is not really a factor but I don't want to get carried away with it. What about a scope with BDC ?

That fits in the Take-Down bag? I couldn't get my Prostaff Rimfire scope to fit. I had to go with a Weaver Rimfire scope, and that barely fits. It takes effort to zip the bag up.

^^^ Yep, did the same thing and it fits in the bag. Nice scope for this application.
