    Marlin Model 60 deluxe

Hey Guys, I picked up a new Marlin 60 Deluxe (or 50th Anniversary) today. Its a very nice gun. I plan to take it out to BLM tomorrow and do some shooting.

The Walnut Stock is well worth the extra cost, for me that is.

It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

Absolutely. Too few .22 rifles have good wood, hard to find these days. The Model 60 is legendary, congratulations!

      Nice.

I have a 10/22 deluxe and agree on the wood.

Beautiful. My Marlin 60 is bone stock and it is 2x as accurate as my 10/22's, modified or not.

Thanks guys, I have a 10/22 that I bought for my son a few years back. There's no question that the 10/22 is a good a rifle, it just doesn't do me any good with no mags. There's been a few times that I've made the drive out to BLM and find out I'm mags less

Its not the gun, its happened a couple times with my AR's.. I don't get mad, I just figure my shooting time has been cut and its time to open a few beers.

I have the engraved 50th Anniversary Edition as well. I think it's the best looking Model 60 they've ever made.

The wood is really nice on these guns. When I first looked at it I thought it might be plastic. It looks like the stock is dirty but its not. I really need to put a better finish on it.

My first gun ever, when I was 14, was a Marlin Model 60. It had the squirrel wood stock. The trigger guard broke so they sent me a modern stock. I miss my squirrel stock.

I bought my model 60 from Kmart back in '76. $39.95 with a 4x scope. Man, I miss the good ol' days. Replaced the hardwood stock with the walnut one from a model 99 that a friend gave to me. It definitely looks better in walnut. I still have it, it runs trouble free, is very accurate, and still one of my favorite. 22's.

I've been eyeballing one of these since seeing your post. Went on the turners site earlier to show my wife, saw that it was on sale, and ordered one up. Had to have something in my collection with some good old fashioned style
