    Min--mags and 10/22

It has been many years since I bought my 10/22. At the time, I thought I had read something about Min-Mags not being reccommended for the 10/22. Anyone have any info on this?

Mini-Mags are considered some of the best and most reliable ammo that is readily available.. (not so much with the ammo drought but still easier to find in the USA then other top tier or match ammo)

Maybe you are confusing them for CCI Stingers and other hyper velocity ammo?

I think you may have gotten it mixed up that mini mags ARE recommended.

I have shot LOTS of CCI 22 Mini-mags and Blazer thru my two Ruger 10-22s with no issues---fine ammo...

Cci minimags are the benchmark of 22lr ammo. If ur gun doesn't function with cci's it's pretty much an indicator that its not very reliable or accurate. The internez has lots of folks that'll claim that their factory 22 rifle will shoot the wings off a fly at 50yds with bulk remmy craptacular ammo but 99.9% of them has never shown actual proof of anything. For example my brother n law claims his factory 10/22 generic scoped wood stock pencil barrel is one of the most accurate rifle he's has ever seen. He claims he can hit the bullseye everytime. I asked what kind of ammo. He said he only shoots the 500rd fed bulk packs becuz its so accurate. I look at him, kinda smh thinking to myself " u only shoot that ammo cuz ur a greedy f~~~ bastard". I the idiot has never seen my 10/22 punch strings of holes insde a nickel at 50yds and just with minimags. Last time he saw my 10/22 he said it was illegal to have a such a barrel like that. SMH. Idiot.

Minimags are GTG with your 10 22.

Buy as many boxes as you can.

What you probably read was CCI Stingers are a prohibited round in the tactical and target models of the 10/22...

But the mini mag round itself by CCI is arguably...the finest, most consistently produced round available

CCI Mini Mags and CCI standard velocity are my two favorite flavors of 22lr. Mini mags in the 10/22's and standard velocity in the bolt guns. My 455 shoots the standard as well or better than some of the pricier 40gr match ammo. Buy all you can.
