    Winchester 94/22 questions

    I finally got my hands on a Winchester 94/22.

    It has Skinner sites on it currently, not sure if I want a scope for "critter getter" applications or not. I wouldnt want to mar the finish either. I dont even think aluminum rings would be soft enough to not mar the finish.

    Any tips or thoughts? Also only a handful companies seem to make subsonic 22lr or 22short. Aguila, and Eley, maybe Winchester? Anyone have any ammo preferences for this rifle? I know it will eat just about anything.

      You're a lucky man to have been able to purchase a 9422. These have been hard to find and very pricey.

      Which model did you get? The straight stocked XTR or
      Legacy?

      I would like to own the Legacy Tribute model as the curved stock would feel great in the hand.
