    Remington 572 Fieldmaster

A while back I stopped by my local shop to haggle on the price of an early mod. Ruger 10/22 I looked at the day before. When I got there they pull a Remington 572 out from behind the counter and put it in my hands.
They know that I have a weak spot for 22 rifles.
Well we haggled over the price and I went home with two rifles.

I do need to find me a rear sight for the rifle.
The rifle was built in November 1984

Nice looking 572. You should be very pleased with it because they usually shoot very well. I like to take mine to the range and shoot it single-shot. Way back I used to buy 22 shorts, load up and just plink away. Great rifle.

I have over fifty 22 rifles. This is one of the ones I have yet to fire. Most likely I will end up giving it to one of my nephews. But before I give it away I'll take it out for a test run.
