Question regarding Volquartsen compensator for Ruger 22/45

Hi there,

I have a question about the legality of Volquartsen compensator for 22/45, it is the version that slide over the bull barrel and mount on by the front sight mounting hole. Since I am using the tread of the front sight, does that consider a threaded barrel? I hope I am just looking too much into, but with all these crazy laws, I just want to ask to confirm. Thanks in advance.

If you are referring to the V-Comp there is no legal issue.

The legal issue with a threaded barrel on a pistol refers to the actual barrel having threads like a rifle barrel not to the front sight hole being threaded.

I might have to pick up a V-Comp for mine, they look nice.

Thanks for the info. Yes, I am talking about the V-comp. I really like the way it look, and I just need the bull barrel version, so the price is right, actually pretty inexpensive for a Volquartsen product.
