    .22 AR15 upper

I am building a dedicated .22 AR since I am getting a bunch of parts free, but I need to buy the complete upper. Any feedback on Core or Tactical solutions, or another brand?

You might want to also post this on the "Centerfire semiauto" forum. This comes up all the time and sounds like there are lots of people with experience on the subject.

I went with the Tactical Solutions AR-22 LT and Black Dog Mags.
No issues and Runs sweet with any ammo.

I used a DPMS AP4 22lr upper from Midway , black dog mags .... and it even eats up Rem Golden Bullets !

I like it , and on sale you can get less the 400$ with one mag.....

I believe for about the same amount of money, you can get m&p 15-22, a dedicated 22lr ar.

True but you don't get the same weight and feel of a true dedicated upper
but it will depend on what us wanted

I have 2 and they are 100% reliable and have proven themselves in competition
but if plinking is all that its going to do a S&W should work just fine

Look into the chiappa one too. Had no issues with any kind of ammo so far. Tried Remington golden bullets, thunderbolt, federal or Winchester.

Build your own... Pick an upper of your choice, handguard of your choice, and taccom barrel and bolt.

There should be a sticky on this. Lots of previous threads.

Tac sol lt upper for me. I started a thread a while back. I'll post the link in a minute. I run black dog mags.

Buddy bought a dpms, heavy barreled .22 upper on sale for $250. He put a scope on it and loves it. No issues.

Like other rifles, you need to figure out how you're going to use it. Is it a trainer gun, varmint gun/range, teach kids, ...?

Fun gun! Newbies, kids and women love this gun! Light, easy to hit the target, and little sound and recoil.

I bought a CMMG 22 lr upper and I enjoyed it so much that I sold off the center fire uppers.

My vote goes to the CMMG 22LR upper. Very reliable and well built.
