Very nice! Congrats! I went with the same scope originally when I got my 10/22. I couldn't find a rifle with a wood stock in my area so I went with a purple laminate stock just to be a bit different.

A Ruger 10/22 was my first .22 rifle also, great choice. I've had mine for 44 years. May you enjoy yours at least that long.

Thanks guys! Good to know that there are still folks okay with keeping things simple.

What kind of stock is that? Folding takedown stock is super cool.

Great centerpiece (or is it rimpiece) for the dining table... will last a lot longer than flowers.

I get my first 10/22 (same model) out of jail this afternoon, and plan a scope and bipod as well. What did you use to mount your bipod?

I used a 1/2" swivel stud to mount it. Drilled the stock, then used a spade drill bit to have the washer that the stud uses to sit flush on the stock.

Well, 1022, is a good thing bad thing. You have a great looking rifle. Now you have done it!
They tend to multiply. First its one. Then its another... Lol. I love my 1022s. Great fun. Just dont get carried away with all the fun stuff you can add. As you may know already that the 1022 is the ar of the 22 rifles.
I have one semi stock, and one that is a little too out of stock. Trigger and bolts were done and they shoot great with little to no flyers.
                            Have fun!

                              "You have chosen wisely."

Although if it was my very first .22 rifle I probably would've put a few hundred rounds down range using only the "iron" sights.
just to get used to them and know their limitations and your ability with them.

...then it's time to think about getting a scope.

The only negative I can think of is that there's actually too many accessories to choose from with a 10/22 But that's the kind of problem that's good to have.
