    Winchester Rimfire Ammo Question?

I've heard alot of negative comments about the Winchester Super X but how does the Winchester Wildcat perform? Picked up a box of 100 from Walmart up in Olympia while I was out of state and haven't been to the range to test them yet. I've only run CCI up to this point.

    Much Thanks,

The last few boxes of 22 I have picked up and shot seem to have more duds... that ammo from earlier years....

The ammo in question depends on your gun....

Is you gun ammo finicky to begin with???? say an old 1950's semi auto pistol...

      Or is it a pump.....
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
      (thanks to Jeff Cooper)

Most of the complaints about the Super X ammo are very possibly from small semi auto owners like the Walther P22, SIG Mosquito and the Ruger SR22. I just ran close to 300 rounds through my Ruger Mkiii Target at the Burbank Firing Line this morning without a single failure of any kind. And I ran them all - 1280, 1300, 1330 and 1435 fps, HP and RN...

Hi, Thanks for all the replies. I've always been in awe of the promptness of Calguns members. They'll be shot out of a pre-1980's Marlin Model 60, possibly out of a Ruger single six as well. The Marlin eats just about anything and i'm sub 1" at 100 yards surprisingly.

In my experience the Wildcat is dirty. Keep the action in your Marlin 60 clean, and clean it often or it may start getting sluggish. It'll be fine in the Single Six.
