    New S&W 617 for my collection

    Bought a 6inch 617 to use as my alternate competition gun
    Got it on consignment for GunWorld for 699.00 and for GW thats a bargain

    gonna replace the front and rear sights with competition sights and a Hogue bigbutt stock

    this will complement my reddot 4 inch

      John, if you're not going to keep those wood grips that are on it let me know. Be happy to make you an offer.

      Nice gun and that's not a bad price. Hard to find one in good shape for sale.

              I've never tried an optic on a revolver but I am imagining that the rig that the OP has really helps. Red dots on my Ruger Mark pistols are very effective.

                trust me once you get used to it you will love it
                you shoot so much faster with both eyes open

                      Its a rimfire so its heavy but I've put so many rounds thru it that its smoothed out quite a bit.

                            Those look like Ahrend's grips. I got some on my 4" 617.
