I have both and shoot the RAR more often. Just like the bolt action more than the semi. The RAR is more accurate out of the box then 10-22.

Don't forget you can shoot cci quiets or 22 shorts with the RAR in your back yard.

I have both, and both threaded for a suppressor that is ordered.

THe RAR is for plinking at the range and whacking voles and rats at the bosses farm.

The 10/22 takedown is a sorta SHTF, sorta hunting plinker I can throw in the Jeep when off roading for various tasks.

        Get them both.

Great piece of hands on wisdom here. I'll be sending off my 10/22 trigger for this upgrade.

[QUOTE=jfdodge;17982610] Look into the ruger bx-22 drop in trigger, I just put one in one of my rifles and it is a huge improvement over the stock trigger. Attached is a 10 shot group with a out of one of my rifles/QUOTE]

What distance was this group shot at with what ammo?

I'm that guy who's causing the .22lr shortage, sorry

Of course. I got a little bolt .22lr for my daughter that I plan on shooting shorts or subsonics with. I also live in an unregulated shooting area so if I have a major jihad against the varmints, my .308 is allowed!

it was at 25 yards with cci 40gr round nose. Rifle is stock other than the magpul x22 stock. I don't think the rifle is really broken in yet, I think it has less than 100 rounds fired out of it.

That's a great group, what sighting system?

It has a nikon p-rimfire 4-12x40 scope on it. I'm really happy with that scope, and I think I can drop.the group size down with some of the tips I found on YouTube.
