Let share a few things I've noted about selling/buying on Calguns and eBay.
Any given weekday evening, I typically see 150 people browsing the long-gun ads, and 250 browsing the handgun ads. So there is definitely a market for your Ruger.
I've seen desirable, high-end pistols go in 15 minutes or less if price is low enough, with multiple back-ups. If the price is low enough, probably anything will sell in 15 minutes - just depends if you want to give it away. I dare say most Calguns buyers are pretty sophisticated - much like wholesale buyers for used car lots. Comments posted on your thread demonstrate this.
The more pictures and the quality better of the pictures makes a big difference. I've personally found this the secret of selling highly technically stuff on eBay - my buyers are sophisticated and I knew the key questions about the product condition/purpose which I needed to address in the pictures. Verbal descriptions are only good to the extent they support the pictures. For example, if your say near new condition, you have to prove near new condition in the pictures.
I would suggest a lead picture in your ad and then link to photo hosting site with a portfolio of say 10-12 pictures demonstrate near new condition. I've done this on eBay and other product specific websites and works great.
Good luck with your sale.
