I recently bought a used Ruger 10/22 with some custom parts including a Volquartsen bull barrel, Harris Bi-Pod, cheaper Bushnell 1x6 scope and Hogue rubber stock. Not sure if the original owner worked on the trigger but that is something that I can tinker with later.
So I took it out for the first time yesterday and shot it at 50 yards with a few different types of 22 LR ammo. I was pleasantly surprised and happy with the results. I was hitting some quarter size groups with the CCI Blazer and CCI Standard Velocity ammo. Of course that's after I got use to the rifle and scope.
I also shot some Wolf steel case .223 out of my Colt LE6920 with Geissele SSA-E trigger with Bushnell TRS-25 red dot and full co-witness iron sights as well as PMC Brass .223 from my PWS MK-114 with a Primary Arms 1x6 scope. Needless to say, my groups were so much tighter and better with my Ruger 10/22.
Can't wait to take my kids out to the rifle range so they can play with the Ruger. Awesome rifle setup that I paid only $300 for. Worth every penny.
These are 3" targets and the center is 6" target at 50 yards. Need a little more practice and then I'm going out to 100 yards and hope my results will be similar.
