    Which scope rings? Browning T-Bolt

I have an older Belgian made .22LR Browning T-bolt that I would like to use for Appleseed. It was given to me by my father when I was 13 (27 years ago).

It recently has had a new stock put on it. The original one was a salted stock and was causing corrosion on the barrel. The new stock has a higher comb, making the peep sight to low.

I have problems seeing the scaled 400 yard target through the peep anyways. I would like to try a scope, as I have always had peep sights or open sights on all my rifles. I am looking at getting the Vortex Crossfire II in 2-7 power http://www.amazon.com/Vortex-Crossfi.../dp/B00794LKMW

I need to know which sight rings to get? My rifle has what I believe is a Weaver style rail. How do I know if I want low or medium rings. Would something like these work? http://www.amazon.com/Vortex-Optics-...R29M0YC3T5VSCD

Here is a few pics of the rifle and rail.

Your rifle does not have a Weaver mount. The grooves look like they are for standard 22rimfire tip-off mounts.

Where did you get the replacement stock? Mine is also a salted stock and I need to replace it.

My uncle did it for me. I know that it was $100. I will find out more. He said he found factory style, but those were pricey, around $250

Stock sure looks like a Boyds to me. Nice rifle.

And yes I agree, those appear to be 3/8" Rimfire Dovetails. Not the best for scope mounting. I suggest getting a good quality set so the don't come loose on you.

Can you (or someone) recommend a good set of rinfire dovetail scope mounts?

Burris and Leupold both make excellent rimfire scope rings. I have used both with good results. I had tried cheaper ones and just ended up tossing them.

/\ /\ /\ This! If you buy cheap rings you will just end up tossing them out and buying more expensive rings down the road. Buy once, cry once.

Is the Vortex Crossfire II scope a good choice? I only choose that because I like my Vortex binos. I am open to suggestions.

I will look into Burris and Leopold rings.

They aren't bad scopes. The couple I've used have some halo blur, but they held zero well. Nikon Prostaff is another good option.
