.22 rifles are just plain "fun" to shoot, so you may end up with more than one, eventually. Out of what you have listed, I have no personal experience, but have read nothing but praise for the CZ 452 and 455.

For bench use and no mods except for maybe refining the trigger there is only one, CZ 455 Varmint. Later if you really want more accuracy, you can replace the factory barrel with a Lilja barrel. You can also replace the .22 barrel with a .17 or a .22 mag.

I have a stock 10/22 with a Tasco 3-9x scope on it to compensate for my bad eyes. Using bulk ammo it shoots tight groups all day long.

The Marlin Model 60 is another fun gun to shoot that has decent accuracy right out of the box.

Both are fun guns and my grandkids love to shoot them.

Rather than getting crazy with modifications, get a basic gun for fun unless you plan on shooting competitively. Then you can afford another gun sooner.

Any used .22lr at the local funstore for less than $200.

People don't value old bolt actions, but they shoot just fine.

Marlin 795 is my vote. I put a Tasco 3-9x30 scope on mine and it's like I can't miss. It has eaten everything I have put through it without fail.

Also look into a CZ 452 Ultra Lux (UL), super accurate.

Just a small + for many bolt guns, they will shoot CB shorts, longs, & lr ammo.

If you've never shot CB shorts your in for a small (no pun intended) treat, no ear plugs/muffs required, just like a pellet rifle.

Buy the CZ. If you're not going to be modding the rifle a great deal, and don't need semi-auto, it's a MUCH higher quality firearm.

Holding a CZ .22 and a 10/22 next to each other, and the difference in quality is palpable. The CZs are BEAUTIFUL.

10/22s are MUCH more fun for plinking, as you can go through magazine after magazine, but if you want something accurate where you won't be tempted to go through ammo by the bucket, and won't be tempted to buy a catalog's worth of additional parts, the CZ is a solid choice.

I would go to the local shop and handle all of them. It will be readily apparent which one you should buy.

If you want tight groups and do not want to modify then the CZ455 is the better choice, hands down.

Just to add to your OCD, I think the Marlin 795 out of the box is the best bang for your buck .22 semi auto.
