I am reaaly into .22LR target grade pistols and revolvers . I normally use CCI std.vel ammo or Federal std. Vel. The only way I get decent price on ammo is by buying it 5000 rounds at time. I NEVER buy ammo at stores. What is the going rate on quality 22lr ammo these days . In stores.

Palmetto State Armory had CCI SV on sale in August. I bought 3 bricks, $40 delivered ($35/brick + $15.50 shipping). I should have gotten more since it's my practice ammo. Comes on sale like that every once in a while.Comment

I've been ordering my .22lr at LAXammo lately. Their prices aren't that bad. I typically look for stuff comparable to minimags since I have a Sig Mosquito.
I know we all wish minimags were still $5.95 for a 100 box 15 years ago. I remember thinking that was a lot compared to blazer.Keeper of Cold Steel

Turners has a sale on the ci ammo from time to time. They go from $7.98-$5.98 for 50. Join their email list and they send the adComment

I did the same thing. I don't shoot super often but 5k rounds of .22 doesn't take up much space. Plus it's easy enough to peddle extra to friends for a tiny profit to fund the next bulk purchase.Comment

I have found CCI SV at $37-40 at Palmetto, but supply is here and gone, as everyone knows. No offense intended, but CCI SV is good ammo, and pretty accurate for the money, but if you are really into target shooting in a big way, you should be looking for SK Match, Eley, CCI Green Tag, and other match quality ammo. Of course, you will pay a premium for it. The upside is it is readily available because not that many can afford to use it on a regular basis, including me.sigpic
