Bought my BX trigger for $65 (and I didn't even want to spend that much for my plinker 10/22). Thought it was a nice improvement, but I wasn't expecting a target trigger. Seems like a cost effective upgrade for those just trying to get their 10/22 trigger decent.

I went through the same dilemma last week. I was going to send my stock trigger to brimstone for some work but found out the metal trigger guards arent as good as the new polymer ones. I ended up posting the stock metal trigger on eBay and after fees and shipping it paid for the new bx trigger and a trip to in-n-out burger.

The BX is way better than my stock trigger and brimstone is currently working on a tuning service that looks promising. I felt a few different bx triggers before buying "the one" I did notice a little different feel between a few. If you can get to a retailer and test one out I would do that before just grabbing one online.

Word on rimfirecentral is: better than stock trigger, but worse than everything else you could put in it. Consensus is it's not really worth the money.

Wow, they were around $150 when they came out about a year ago! I see midway has them for $75 right now. Guess they weren't selling so ruger had to drop the price... Still gets beat by a $45 trigger kit, but just barley. Edit: barely*

I guess I might have to try one just for fun when I build another 10/22...

I have no complaints. Don't let trigger snobs scare you off. I do agree that it will never be a KIDD or Volquartsen. It wasn't meant to be. I would compare mine to a Volquartsen hammer kit (just the hammer) I installed in an older metal housing. Both were a huge improvement over the stock trigger. The only thing I don't like about the BX is the actual trigger being plastic, the housing doesn't matter to me. On my stock plastic trigger I could feel the trigger flex, it was that heavy. One thing with the BX is you end up with spare parts. Unless you are looking for a competition trigger I think you'll be ok with the BX. Good luck.

Yeah but compare $80 BX trigger to the same cost for the KIDD trigger and honestly the KIDD trigger job is awesome. Just saying i have tried both and even more. for the dollar i assure you in my opinion its a far better upgrade going KIDD.

it reduced my grouping so much. My stock triggers were terrible.
BX was like ehh and the KIDD or Volq were like so much yes.

IF you want to drop a huge amount you will love the 2 stage volq but its hard to do that when the kidd trigger job gets the job done. saves ammo and makes hits.
sorry this sounds like a sales pitch but serious the bx left me wanting more

+1. I have the 10/22 in an HTA 90/22 kit. This kit added to the trigger pull weight. It's not a competition gun. I just needed to lighten the pull weight a bit. The BX does that. The Kidd and Volquartsen was overkill for what I needed. I was taking a close look at Brimstone when the BX launched. I went with the BX so I didn't have to send out to Brimstone and wait for it to return. The BX was a simple drop in. I paid $69.99 at the end of Feb 2015 from Midway USA. This was about a month or two after it launched.

Question is...what are your plans for your 10/22?

Hardcore 22 guys don't seem to like them, I don't have one. Many guys will style up your trigger group for 35 & up, it's worth it. CPC put overtravel screws in my older aluminum housing/trigger & it came out really nice. After a brick or two it's actually impressive, very crisp & about 3 lbs. The cheapest easiest would likely be a VQ hammer on it's own. I tried it & it was much better than stock, but it had a ton of takeup. I could light a cigar before it letoff, lol.
Yes I took the pic, no I didn't go swimming!

From what I understand the BX is a better "factory" trigger. So, better than the stock 10/22 but that's not saying much. I have one from Brimstone that is amazing. First time I shot it, I put 6 through the same hole at 25 yards (indoor range) offhand.

Anything will be better than a Ruger trigger I think, Brim, Kidd or Volq.

Brimstone will get you the most for your money.

                      $35 for their basic upgrade.
$75 for level 2, I have 2 of these and couldn't be happier.

I have a level 2 on one of my rifles, it's almost like a 2 stage, I love it. I also have a level 3 that's waiting on an 80% Razor. Brimstone is the way to go, especially for the money.

for the Brimstone triggers, you remove and send them your trigger group, correct?

When I looked into it a couple of years ago, that was the case. But it looks like you can buy a trigger group on their website and then pay to have the level upgrade you want done to it. If they had this before I bought the BX, I might have went this route instead. It ends up close to the cost as the BX.
