Remington fieldmaster

I have an old Remington fieldmaster that I'm going to restore, has some rust on it and going to try the electrolysis trick to remove it.

I would like to figure out how old it is, set # 61404. And it says it's a model 121

Im wondering also the age I have one too 16605 model 121

the age range I came up with is 1936-1954 and 199,891 were made.

Remington Year of Manufacture Codes maybe found on the barrel of your Remington rifle [or shotgun] on the left side, just forward of the receiver; the first letter of the Code is the month of manufacture, followed by one or two letters which are the year of manufacture. For shotguns with removable barrels, the code will be valid for the manufacture of the barrel; maybe for the receiver, as barrels do get switched around.

According to the "Blue Book of Gun Values", the coding continues as follows:

Just heard back from Remington, they say it was made in 1945. This was a cool find, has a little rust but it works perfectly.

I took it apart and cleaned it and it's good to go
