    Got my Kidd products

Received my Kidd order today here's what I got:

    Firing pin
    Bolt buffer
    Bolt handle/guide rod/springs
    Magazine release
    Extractor

I haven't even shot a round through my brand new 10/22 and I'm wondering if I should shoot it first without all these upgrades or just put them all on tonight! I'm going shooting on Wednesday, what do you guys suggest???

Oh, I didn't get the auto bolt because I'm going to send it to brimstone where along with trigger work, they'll add the auto bolt.

Nice! I would put some rounds downrange with it in the stock configuration. That way if any problems occur, you will know for sure that the upgraded parts aren't the culprit. Have fun!

I think I'll shoot 100 rounds stock, then while I'm at blm change out the parts and test it out. I can't wait to send my trigger over to brimstone, but I definitely wanted to feel the stock trigger pull first so I could appreciate the upgrade more

I'd change it first. But either way don't change parts outside lol. You will lose your extractor spring for sure!

Shoot it first to confirm reliability and frankly that it "works" then add your parts. Plus you see a difference in stock vs upgraded.

When changing out your parts, compare the two guide rod
spear/bullet shaped tips. My KIDD was larger than factory &
Wouldn't allow the bolt to fully retract. Fortunately I had read about this on another forum before encountering the problem. I ended up using the factory guide rod with the aftermarket spring.

Whatever you decide, I suggest bringing the extra parts with you. You can't replace a broken or bad part without spares. Everybody jokes about the guy with too much crap in their shooting bag until they need something.
