Seemed like a good idea, a cartridge a little smaller and cheaper than HMR17 but still better than a 22. Is it dead ?

Good question. I haven't seen .17 HM2 ammo in ages.
I fear it's fallen into the dustbin of forgotten cartridges."Show me a young conservative and I'll show you a man without a heart. Show me an old liberal and I'll show you a man without a brain." - Sir Winston Churchill
"I would remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice! And let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue!" - Senator Barry Goldwater -
It looks like they will be doing runs once, or twice a year. But, the prices have been around $9.00 a box. Almost double what it was when it came out.
It's still a blast to shoot, even at that price. I just picked up #20 boxes of the last run, so I'm set for a bit.

It's too bad, I really liked it. Mine was wicked accurate out to about 150 yards. But once prices rivaled or passed 17HMR I gave up.Comment
