Ruger 10/22 Wolf Pattern Camo 11171 sling studs...?

Didn't expect any. Boy, was I surprised.

    What were they thinkin'...?

The butt swivel stud is a molded-in affair. Looks OK... I guess.

The fore-stock stud is another thing.

It's molded into the lower end corner of the stock, several inches Ahead of the Bbl. band/flange/bolt.

    WTH...?!?

That mess is sure to dig into both slinged hand when field shooting, and scapula when carrying.

    So:
1 - Remove the Bbl. band.
2 - Remove the band, cut off the end of the stock, re-profile the fore-stock, and then install a stud ~2" back from the end. (did this to my 10/22 woody)
3 - Install a stud ~2" back from the Bbl band. (will probably do this)

That seems weird that it would be set up that way. I would probably try #1 before #3. #2 would never look right on a hydrodipped stock
