    Marlin xt-22 vs savage fv-Sr

Hey guys. I love .22's and I'm waiting for tax season so I can pick up a nice little bolt action .22 to go plinking, I already have a 795 but I want to keep it stock and throw a nice optic on either the xt-22 or the savage but i just don't know which one to go after I like them both. Which one do you guys recommend??

Xt22 has mag compatibility with your 795 going for it. No hands on exp with either one for me though.

That's a big plus I was thinking about the other day. Have you shot either one?

I own both and I like the xt 22 a lot more. The Marlin is more accurate and has a smoother bolt to me

After reading a couple reviews on YouTube and on other forums. I'm leaning more towards the marlin. Thank you for your opinion bro

If u get the marlin, make sure the bolt action is nice and smooth, mine requires a death grip, push and pull. Itll work itself out though, im slowly shearing off metal every time i cycle the bolt, maybe another 500 times.

That's one of the very few cons about the marlin that I heard. Doesn't sound too bad. My mosin m38 has a sticky a** bolt but still loads of fun to shoot lol..how's the trigger on the xt?

Look at the ruger 77/22, I have one from 1987 it's a sweet shooter. I've seen them come up used from time to time for a somewhat reasonable price.

Between those two, I vote for XT-22, because of the magazine compatibility.
However, have you considered XT-22TR (the tubular magazine) version? It holds 17LR and 25 shorts.

FV-SR, I like it and it shoots great. I was looking for a bolt action and tube fed Marlin but is impossible to find new.
