    GSG 1911 upgrades

    Hi!
I've recently upgraded my GSG 1911:
    1) ZR tactical solution performance upgrade which includes new guide rod, bushing, spring and plug https://www.zrtacticalsolutions.com/...ornia-package/
I'm very happy with much better grouping and looks like there are less issues with poor ammo (white trash). I had to use sandpaper because barrel bushing was too tight in the slide.
    2) Adjustable rear sight - http://www.midwayusa.com/product/721...cut-steel-blue
I was shooting to high even with tallest front sight, so this is just what I need. Unfortunately slide cut is less then standard cut, so I had to file some metal from the sight.

You said it was shooting high,if you filed the fs ,you will cause
it to shoot even higher. Pete

I think the OP meant he had to file the new (rear) sight to fit the cut on the slide. He did not change the height of the sight.

        Ok,I see what he means

I like that rear sight, wouldn't mind having it on mine but looks like OOS.

Looks like I need taller front sight. Does anyone know GSG 3-dot sight height? Or just how can I measure it?

Does this mean the new rear sight didn't cure the problem with shooting high?? I'm wondering if something even lower profile would work (my GSG conversion slide shoots high too)

I've decided to order taller front sight with fiber optic. Looks like standard 3-dot is .240. I've ordered .300 from Dawson Precision just to be on the safe side.
Lower profile rear sight should work as well.
